Seventeen years ago, this event began with a simple belief: that Oregon's Latino community needed a place to come together: to celebrate, to be recognized, and to build the relationships that carry us forward. Today it brings Latino leaders, entrepreneurs, advocates, and changemakers together from every corner of Oregon. In America's 250th year, that work carries even greater meaning.
This year's keynote comes from Dr. Juana Bordas: author, founder of the National Hispana Leadership Institute, and the first Latina to receive the International Leadership Association's Lifetime Achievement Award — on the power of Latino leadership.
We will also be presenting the Heart of the Community, Legacy Leadership and Ally of the year awards to honor people for their lasting contributions to Latino Oregon.
